MacGyver Solutions, Inc conducts multiple training courses for military personnel, government agencies and corporations.

Much of the training is driver based for motorcycles, atvs, side by sides and non-standard commercial vehicles; but we also conduct mechanical training, weapons training and terrorism awareness courses.

Below is a summary of some of the courses we offer on our GSA Contract #47QSMA18D08QH.

ROV Basic DriverCourse ROHVA1

The ROV Basic DriverCourse is a hands-on class, for licensed drivers aged 16 and older, conducted by a certified ROV DriverCoach. Our DriverCoaches will help you develop the basic skills to operate your ROV in an off-road environment and teach you driving strategies to make safe and responsible driving decisions. The ROV Basic DriverCourse offers students approximately three hours of driving time on a closed range and post-exercise discussions to expand on the driving skills and strategies you’ve learned. At select locations, students will also be able to experience open trail exercises to practice the skills and knowledge they have learned in a real off-road environment.

Students must complete the ROHVA E-Course prior to receiving certificate.

ATV RiderCourse ATVSI

The ATV RiderCourse offers students an opportunity to practice basic riding skills in a controlled environment under the supervision of a licensed Instructor.

Students practice basic safety techniques with hands-on exercises covering starting and stopping, turning (both gradual and quick), negotiating hills, emergency stopping and swerving, and riding over obstacles. Particular emphasis is placed on the safety implications relating to each lesson.

A 2 hour online e-Course is required prior to receiving course certificate.

NEW EQUIPMENT TRAINING (NET) PD1236

NET = 1 Day Course that provides a basic overview of the Polaris vehicle, basic details on the proper and safe operation of the vehicle along with basic steps to perform operator level maintenance – max. 20 personnel.

MASTER DRIVER TRAINING COURSE (MDTC) PD1242

MDTC = Contractor shall conduct a four day course, which will be provided at the customer’s location using on-site facilities. This course shall train on-site personnel to establish a Train the Trainer program using the organization’s facilities and their fielded Polaris vehicles. The training provided through Polaris Defense’s MDTC is designed around safe operation of the vehicle. This is a pass/fail course and all Driver/Coach Candidates must have prior off-highway riding experience (i.e DSTC). MDTC maximum class load: 6 students per instructor.

DRIVERS SAFETY TRAINING COURSE (DSTC) PD1243

DSTC = Contractor shall conduct a three day course, which will be provided at the customer’s location using on-site facilities and equipment. The training provided through Polaris Defense’s DSTC is designed around safe operation of the vehicle. This is a beginner level course that covers basic driving skill, basic recovery techniques and PMCS of the Vehicle. Students who successfully complete the course will receive ROHVA operator certification.DSTC maximum class load: 12 personnel per instructor.

MASTER DRIVER CERTIFICATION COURSE (MDCC) PD1237

4 Day Course provided at the customer’s location using on-site facilities. This course trains and certifies on-site personnel to establish a licensing program using the organizations facilities and Polaris vehicles. This class is intended for snowmobile and other non-ROHVA vehicles.

ADVANCED DIAGNOSTICS AND DRIVETRAIN CERTIFICATION PD1245

Learn to disassemble and re-assemble entire drivetrain on Polaris vehicles plus advanced diagnostics. Students will learn to efficiently tear down, identify components, diagnose issues and re-assemble complete engine, front drive, and gear case. This is a level 30 depot level repair course conducted onsite or designated field training site.Note: prerequisite MCC (level 20) required to be completed before taking this course.Vehicle or drivetrain to be provided by the customer; the engine and front drive will be disassembled – gaskets, fluids, and shop supplies will be consumed. Parts, shop supplies, and fluids not included in the training price.

MECHANIC CERTIFICATION COURSE (MCC) PD1238

MCC = 4 Day Course provided at the customer’s location using on-site facilities. This course trains and certifies on-site maintenance personnel to properly service/maintain their Polaris vehicles up to and including warranty level repairs. Students learn:1)How Polaris vehicles work 2)How to use and understand t he Polaris exclusive Digital Wrench diagnostic software3)How to disassemble vehicles, troubleshoot/assess vehicles, repair vehicles/components, and reassemble the vehicle.MCC maximum class load: 8 personnel per instructor.

BATTLE DAMAGE ASSESSMENT AND REPAIR COURSE PD1244

Operators Course: Learn how to safely maintain mobility on a damaged vehicle. Water Intrusion & Evacuation: Learn the proper and safe procedure for removing water from the drivetrain during water fording. Fuel Bypass Procedure: Learn how to properly perform the fuel bypass procedure on vehicles with contaminated or wrong fuel type. This is a level 10 entry level course.

INTERMEDIATE MAINTAINER TRAINING 1 WEEK IMT1

The IMT1 course is a five (5) day course designed to familiarize and train unit mechanics and support personnel on maintaining, troubleshooting and repair of the engine, drivetrain and electrical system of its units’ vehicles. The course is conducted by master mechanics certified by the OEM as proficient in repair and maintenance of the vehicles as well as instructional techniques. The course costs include the costs of materials and consumables that will be used in training the internal operations of the vehicle’s major components; along with their transportation to the training Location. Course will include hands on maintenance and repair using hand tools, special tools and software diagnostic equipment and is recommended for mechanics and support personnel that are familiar with the vehicle platform. Recommended course size is 10 students and advanced notice for scheduling is required. Price is for training on CONUS Military bases using facilities within the unit’s motorpool. For OCONUS pricing or off-site training please contact us. Travel is not included in price and will be a separate line item.

INTERMEDIATE MAINTAINER TRAINING 2 WEEK IMT2

The IMT2 course is a ten (10) day course designed to familiarize and train unit mechanics and support personnel on maintaining, troubleshooting and repair of the engine, drivetrain and electrical system of its units’ vehicles. The 10-day course will go into more depth and practical exercises than our IMT1 five-day course. The course is conducted by master mechanics certified by the OEM as proficient in repair and maintenance of the vehicles as well as instructional techniques. INTERMEDIATE DRIVER TRAINING 1 WEEK DRV1

The DRV1 Course is for 10 students and five (5) days of instruction of intermediate Driver training on unit provided vehicles and training area on CONUS base. During this training drivers will operate the vehicles on a structured course and tested on ability to operate the vehicle within fixed perimeter, trained on vehicle recovery and field expedient repairs. Travel is not included in price and will be a separate line item.

Services Offered

QUARTERLY FLEET MAINTENANCE FOR 15-20 VEHICLES PD1241

Price includes one week on location visit to provide scheduled service for 15 – 20 Polaris vehicles:

  1. Includes all fluids, spark plugs, and filters
  2. Hard, flat surface area must be provided – a maintenance bay is preferred
  3. Vehicle s must be accessible and cleaned prior to the scheduled appointment
  4. Other services may be provided at additional cost
